Darwin Green Cambridge for David Wilson Homes
This shoot was for David Wilson Homes, photographing their partially complete Darwin Green development on the north side of Cambridge. This combination of architectural and drone images were submitted for the 2024 Great Places competition where it achieved a gold award only beaten by the redevelopment of Terry's Chocolate Factory in York. It’s often good to plan a shoot like this by using one of the solar tracking sites like Sun Calc to work out when the lighting will best illuminate the buildings, allowing a good balance of light and shade to bring out the texture and detail. When putting together this kind of submission it’s always good to create a good mix of wide, detail and one to one perspective shots. You can see more of the shoot here Darwin Green .
